Despite coverage, no new North Korean measures against Zika

DPRK media claims emergency measures to stop Zika virus, tour operators see no additional checks

North Korean media published its fifth article on the Zika virus in less than a month over the weekend, saying that a campaign has been launched in the DPRK to prevent the virus from spreading.

An outbreak of the virus has spread rapidly through parts of Latin America over the last 12 months. Although it causes only mild symptoms in adults, it has been correlated with microcephaly in newborn infants.
