U.S., China show dissonance on N.Korea

Two parties agree on UN resolution, but China continues to eye economic integration with North

China and the U.S. failed to close the gap in their perspectives on the North Korean nuclear issue during a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday.

Even though the two countries declared consensus regarding a UN Security Council resolution against North Korea's nuclear test, after the talks the Chinese side reiterated restarting dialogue with North Korea while the U.S. side emphasized the danger of North Korea’s nuclear power.
