The BBC will commence a shortwave (SW) radio service to North Korea, sometime in either 2016 or in 2017, a spokesperson from the corporation told NK News on Tuesday.
The development comes following an announcement that the UK government will invest hundreds of millions to expand the BBC's flagship World Service into countries which the broadcaster previously outlined as including North Korea, Ethiopia and Eritrea.
