South Korean president emphasizes 'resolute' national security in address to National Assembly

The South Korean president said Tuesday that increased military spending and diplomatic gestures will both be necessary to improve inter-Korean ties and maintain security.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye on Tuesday addressed the National Assembly regarding next year’s budget. Unification and security were among the assorted issues Park spoke of, touting the “resolute national security” she previously mentioned at her speech in Washington, D.C. on October 15.
