N. Korean rocket launch motivated by political interests: experts

While rocket launches are expensive for the DPRK, they can earn diplomatic, security benefits

Experts on Thursday said that North Korea’s potential upcoming satellite launch would be motivated by domestic political interests, even though it is not exactly an economically efficient move.

In an interview with CNN on Wednesday, North Korea's National Aerospace Development Administration (NADA) said that a launch is “imminent,” but did not specify a date.
