North Korea’s foreign minister Ri Su Yong delivered a speech at the Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva on Tuesday, continuing the DPRK's public effort to refute allegations of human rights abuses.
Ri denied the long-standing allegations and called into question the credibility of the recent UN Commission of Inquiry (COI) report, which detailed a litany of abuses in North Korea. The COI also recommended that North Korea's leaders, including Kim Jong Un, be referred to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for prosecution.
