Demand follows retractions from Shin Dong-hyuk; North threatens to reveal 'lies' of other defectors

North Korea's foreign minister has sent letters to the UN leadership proposing that the UN General Assembly’s human rights resolution be revoked, citing famed defector Shin Dong-hyuk's "fabrication," North Korean state media reported.

The Korean Central News Agency reported Wednesday that Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong sent the letters to the UN secretary-general and the president of the current session of the UN General Assembly on Monday.
