A group of 30 international women peacemakers will attempt to walk across the heavily fortified border between North and South Korea on May 24 to call for an end to the Korean War and the division of the peninsula.
The WomenCrossDMZ campaign has already received permission from North Korea, a yes from the UN Command pending approval from both parties and is awaiting confirmation from the South Korean government.
