Park Jie-won, a South Korean lawmaker from the New Politics Alliance for Democracy party, visited the North Korean city of Kaesong on Tuesday to deliver a wreath of flowers to commemorate the passing of former North Korean leader Kim Jong Il.
The delivery of the wreath was being made on behalf of Lee Hee-ho, the widow of former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, following a similar gesture from North Korea in August this year.
