A Korean-American writer, Shin Eun Mi, was questioned by South Korean police on Sunday over comments she made during a series of on-stage talk shows, which may have breached the South’s National Security Law.
Shin was summoned for questioning by police and given a temporary travel ban following complaints filed by conservative civic groups to law enforcement authorities alleging that Shin had made pro-North Korean comments. This was the second summon issued to Shin in the ongoing investigation.
