South Korea: Further inter-Korean talks ‘cancelled’

North Korean threats to cancel talks aimed at weakening position of South Korean conservatives, says Pyongyang watcher

South Korea announced on Sunday that further high-level inter-Korean talks are more or less "cancelled," following North Korea’s announcement Saturday that no talks can take place if anti-Pyongyang activists continue to launch leaflets across the border.

The South Korean announcement follows a week of back and forth between the two Koreas over the launch of leaflets, which led to the cancellation of planned high-level talks on October 30.
