May Day Stadium renovations complete – state media

Project reportedly called for 10,000 soldiers, continues regime emphasis on construction

State media have reported that renovations have been completed on North Korea’s massive May Day Stadium, marking the end of a project that reportedly mobilized 10,000 soldiers.

State media reported on October 29 that Kim Jong Un had visited the completed stadium on October 28 to watch a women’s soccer match. However, a video and article released covering the ceremony do not indicate that Kim appear at a building completion ceremony the same day.
