China – N. Korea bridge to open in October, but DPRK infrastructure lacking

Satellite imagery from June 2014 shows little infrastructure connecting to Chinese-funded bridge

Update 25/9/14: Since publication of this article, NK News analyst John Grisafi detected the construction of a new road approximately 4km from the new Yalu River Bridge, suggesting North Korea may be able to connect the new bridge in time for its October opening.

Satellite imagery taken in June shows that the new road – which connects to a junction leading to Sinujiu – would require a further 3KM to reach the suspension bridge.
