North Korea threat index at highest level in 2014

Threats increase amid ongoing U.S.-South Korea military drills

The aggressive and threatening language in North Korean state news agency the Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) has reached its highest level since the beginning of the year, data curated by NK News has shown.

The NK News KCNA Threat Index, which analyzes the frequency of confrontational words published in North Korean media each day, registered a score of 2.944 on August 21, its highest score for 2014.
