The leader of Seoul’s delegation to the Six Party Talks told the Yonhap News Agency that Seoul, Beijing and Washington are seeking a variety of options for resuming the talks.
Chief nuclear envoy Hwang Joon-kook, upon his arrival in Beijing to meet his Chinese counterpart Wu Dawei, told Yonhap that he could not comment on any prospects for renewed nuclear talks with the North, however. He also said that Pyongyang would have to show “practical progress” in denuclearization in order to lessen pressure on the regime.
