A shipping company believed to have helped smuggle military equipment from Cuba on a North Korean vessel is facing criminal charges in Singapore.
Singapore-based Chinpo Shipping, previously identified by the United Nations as one of two companies attempting to ship assets breaching international sanctions to the North, has been charged with transferring $72,000 to a Panamanian shipping company in March, knowing the funds could have been used to contribute to the North’s weapons programs.
