North Korea's military has issued a statement on the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) criticizing the South Korean military for what it calls a reckless provocation in the Yellow Sea.

The statement on KCNA from Korean People's Army (KPA) Southwestern Front Command comes after North Korea fired three short range missiles off the East Coast of the Peninsula at 5pm Korea Standard Time on Thursday. The statement however does not clarify if the missile launch is a direct response to the South Korean military drills.
