The three crew members detained in Panama for their involvement in smuggling military equipment from Cuba to North Korea aboard the Chong Chon Gang in July 2013, have had their trial dates set for June 4 according to a report by Voice of America.
The Captain, first officer and political officer of the North Korean vessel will face weapons trafficking charges after the vessel was discovered to be carrying "240 tons of arms and related materiel", contravening UN Sanctions, that included two Mig21 fighter jets, Soviet era radar systems and missiles concealed under 10,000 tonnes of sugar.
