Family reunions continue into second day

Family reunions continue into second day with gift giving on both sides

Reunions between families separated in the inter-Korean war continued into their second day at the Mt Kumgang resort in North Korea on Friday.

82 South Koreans were allowed to meet around 150 Northern relatives, between 9am and 11pm at the Oekumgang Hotel, near Mt. Kumgang in North Korea. The reunited families swapped stories in their hotel rooms after more than sixty years of separation. Throughout the day, the families shared a meal together and attended a two-hour joint ceremony held in the hotel’s auditorium.
