Detained South Korean missionary admits to ‘spying’

North Koreans allow baptist missionary Kim Jung Wook to give a press conference in Pyongyang

A South Korean missionary held in North Korea since October has appeared at a press conference in Pyongyang apologizing for his ‘anti-state’ crimes.

Kim Jeong-wook told assembled reporters of his arrest after crossing into North Korea from China. The Baptist missionary went on to detail how he had planned to travel to Pyongyang, with the intention of setting up a network of underground churches.
