Panama is still awaiting payment of a $1 million dollar fine from North Korea to release an impounded cargo vessel, local media outlet La Prensa said.
The fine, which was imposed after a North Korean freighter was caught attempting to ship Cuban military equipment across the Panama canal, must be paid before the vessel and crew of 35 sailors can be released.
