SEOUL – North Korean affiliated media outlet Uriminzokkiri this week harshly criticized South Korea for requesting a further delay of the transfer of wartime operational control (OPCON).
"Recently the South Korean government, using nonexistent threats as their excuse, behaved crudely by asking the U.S. to postpone its transfer of wartime command", said Uriminzokkiri current affairs program Camera Focus in response to news that Seoul wants the U.S. to keep command of joint-military forces.
