After Annual Holiday, North Korea Sends ‘Ultimatum’ To Seoul

Latest warning carries potential olive branch by detailing potential exit route to spiralling tensions

WASHINGTON DC - North Korean state media released a strongly-worded "ultimatum" against South Korea this morning, following days of gradually increasing calm on the peninsula.

But whilst the latest notification warns that North Korean military forces will start retaliatory action against South Korea "without notice," the note ends in a potentially conciliatory tone, offering a proposal that could lead to a subsequent relaxation of inter-Korean relations.
