U.S. Expands North Korea Sanctions as Drills Continue

Three NK government officials and a state bank made target of new sanction expansion

SEOUL – The U.S. government has expanded sanctions on North Korea to cover three individuals and a state bank it says are directly connected with the production, sale, and distribution of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), a press release from the U.S. State Department said.

"North Korea will continue to face isolation if it refuses to take concrete steps to comply with its international obligations and address the concerns of the international community over its nuclear and ballistic missile programs."
