Victims of Oct. 7 attack on Israel sue North Korea for alleged support of Hamas

US plaintiffs accuse DPRK, Iran and Syria of providing weapons and other aid, seeking $4B in damages

More than 100 family members and victims of the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel are suing North Korea in U.S. court for allegedly aiding Hamas’ assault, including by providing weapons and helping build tunnels.

The lawsuit, which also targets Iran and Syria, was filed on Monday by the Jewish civil rights group Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Crowell & Moring law firm, seeking at least $4 billion in compensatory and punitive damages for the attack
